What do we need to do when we first arrive at camp?
We have a two step process for each student to complete upon arrival at camp:
1. Lice Check
When students first arrive at camp they need to enter the main tabernacle where a lice check will be performed. This is done to ensure a healthy dorm environment for all our campers. It is strongly encouraged that you perform your own check before arriving on the campus. This will help prevent having to send anyone home who is found with lice.
Any student found with lice will be asked to leave. However, they may return after completing these three steps:
- Receive treatment
- Wash bedding items
- Re-check before leaving home
Once arriving back to be re-registered, the camp medical staff will also re-check the student. If the camper does not wish to return a full refund will be given. All students who pass the lice check will receive a ticket to take with them to the pre-registration area showing they have undergone the lice check.
Once students have completed their lice check they will move to the Nelson-Deal Fellowship Hall. They will get in the line that corresponds with the first letter of their last name and proceed to the registration table. Once their registration has been approved they will receive their t-shirt and/or concession cards (if pre-ordered) and a name badge. This will give them access to the dorms.
After completing a lice check they will move to the Nelson-Deal Fellowship Hall where they will enter the line marked “At-the-Door Registration.” Once their registration has been approved they will receive their t-shirt and/or concession cards (if pre-ordered) and a name badge. This will give them access to the dorms.
Are the evening services open to the public?
Yes. You are more than welcome to attend the evening services. However, you may not sit in the camper section. Following the evening service we ask that you leave the grounds immediately.
What time do the evening services begin?
The evening services begin at 7:30pm with a couple of exceptions. The final night of Jr. Camp (Thursday) will begin with an awards service at 6:30pm and worship will start at 7:00pm. The final night of Sr. Camp (Friday) will begin with an awards service at 7:00 and worship will start at 7:30pm.
What do I need to bring?
Students will need bedding for twin size bunk beds, as well as basic hygiene supplies. A full list of suggested items can be downloaded here: Youth Camp Survival Guide
I forgot to order a t-shirt when I registered. Can I get one during camp?
Absolutely! Camp t-shirts can be purchased at the Youth Booth before and after each evening service.
I keep hearing something about a consignment store. What’s this all about?
Introducing the new and improved “Sweet Repeats”. We are inviting all the girls to participate in a consignment shop that will be taking place during Youth Camp. In order to shop you will need to bring items to consign.
